Chief Norris will speak about recent shooting
We heard from Mayor Carol Smith that Police Chief Norris will speak to this issue at the beginning of the city council meeting tomorrow night.
Tues. 27th at 7:30. City Hall.

I'm not really sure what he could say at a city council meeting that could possibly matter. If he has something to say on the issue that he wants everyone to know, shouldn't he go to the news, or post it here? Is this imminent address by Norris really worthy of a separate post?

Meanwhile, The Ojai Post serves as an grassroots information vehicle for the community. For people concerned about the shooting, much as people were concerned about the Day Fire and the gravel trucks, they can come here, find the info they need and do with it what they will.
If you want to wait until Wednesday to read about it, that's your prerogative.

Brief article in the VC Star today on the arrest.
In regards to the report at City Council, I suspect it is mostly for council members and for members of the public who wish to speak publicly to the elected officials.
