The Price of Paradise

by Lisa Snider on September 7, 2006

Santa Barbara County, paradise to some, has seen a dramatic escalation in the cost of housing, thus displacing the community’s critical workforce. The experiences of those workers and the impacts to families, community and employers provide insight and an understanding of the need for affordable workforce housing. Interviews, artistic cinematography and a percussionist soundtrack are featured.

See the 42-minute documentary, which was recently accepted into the Oxnard Film Festival, Saturday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Plaza Cinemas in downtown Oxnard.
Written, Produced and Directed by: Lisa Snider
Cinematography and Editing by: Michael Anderson and Austen Collins of Extra Mile Productions, Ojai

I’m very excited to see this film; is there a way for us who live out of state to view it?
