Cleansing, The End

I am officially moving out of the cleanse and into "real life." I took in nothing but vegetable (celery, cuke, parsley, mint, chard and some apple or carrot) juice all day Satuday and part of Sunday. Had a colonic on Sunday morning, and then had a salad. What I found was that I had great energy and was incredibly cranky. And, I found that there were many things that I want to do this weekend and I didn't have quite enough stamina to do them.

So, here I am, on the upswing again. What is interesting is that I find that I don't really want to eat anything other than the cleansing diet I have been eating. Avocado has a whole new air of luxury about it! And almond and walnut pate spread on nori sounds positively decadent! I'm exactly where I wanted to be - energetic and feeling healthy, and really excited about making better food choices for myself.

I will probably make one more entry, when I eat something off the diet - maybe an egg or some raw cheese or something like that. I'd like to let you all know what that is like for me.

We juiced for the first time today with our new Green Star juicer after visiting the Farmers Market. We had a lot of fun, juicing spinach, kale, chard, parsley, dandelion greens, ginger, garlic, carrot and cucumber. It was delicious - we each had an 8oz glass, and then filled two pint mason jars for tomorrow. Clean up was fine and the machine runs rock-solid. Thanks Heather and Chakra Earthsong for the advice and assistance.

Way to go Heather!love ya! Ain't cleansing fun???
