It was 95 degrees at 5pm today - the town was very quiet and sleepy. It's supposed to be 99 degrees on Thursday. Isn't that fun.

What, everyone's out at the river or on the beach today, and not at their computers? I'm shocked, I tell you.

Saw the new ad for Taste of Ojai in September. They've added a new participant: Jersey Mike's.

Ah yes, Jersey Mike's, home of the Prosciutto on Focaccia with local organic arugula, heirloom tomato and sweet maui onion, served open-faced topped with a balsamic fig reduction.
Oh wait, turkey and cheddar with mayo and iceberg on a sub roll. Never mind.

hahahahahaha! my wife bought me a salad from there (i protested, but caved)...it was basically dense, tightly rolled wads of meat over a crisp bed of "lettuce for the masses". the oil and vinegar i poured over it tasted good, but then, you can hardly screw those up.
