Greetings from Doylestown.

Greetings from stormy Pennsylvania. Last thursday (6/22), I set off in a 2006 Ford van, filled with the set and props for a play that will take place in New York, New York. The vehicle was more stuffed than a turkey but I still managed to gobble my way across the continent in 5 days. Along the way, I was always well recieved and no one hesitated to give me directions when both my map and Yahoo Maps were inadequate.

The town I mostly grew up in is only 2 hours away from NYC. Thus, by coming out a bit early I've been able to visit my folks and rekindle old friendships that time and distance had put on hold. This is my first time back here in almost 8 years. It is no longer my home. The trees have doubled in size and the amount of new homes that have been built boggles the mind. There's even a downtown cam now which you can click to see where I was walking around last night with some dear old friends.

So it is as Thomas Wolfe wrote, "You can't go home again." It does look idyllic though! I will be in NYC next month - will your play be on then?

I thought Ojai seemed a little quieter than normal. Hope you have a fantastic trip. It's freaking hot here.
