Ojai Peace Coalition's 2006 Mini-Conference Series: What Is Peace?

happy earth day, everyone!

i've not been as diligent about writing here as i'd like to be (a habit i'm eager to create), but in the context of community-building activities, i'd like to post info about the upcoming Ojai Peace Coalition 2006 Mini-Conference Series entitled "What Is Peace"?

i'm interested in getting to know my community better...specifically, those that have energy to give toward creating peace. so, i'd love to have you over to my home on any one of three available evenings to discuss

- the various elements that comprise our definition of "peace" and our vision of the future

- the Ojai Peace Coalition's role in helping to create this peace

- our local peace community's response to and stand on popular and complex issues of our times

- where our energies would be most efficiently focused, from local to global actions

- how our peace community will represent the theme "Shining Moments In Our History" in this year's Ojai Independence Day Parade (the OPC's first birthday!)

the three identical meetings will be held on TUESDAY APRIL 25 from 6:00 to 7:30pm, WEDNESDAY MAY 03 from 7: to 8:30pm, and THURSDAY MAY 11 from 5:00 to 6:30pm.

please choose any one and bring snacks, drinks, and friends to 210 GRAND AVENUE, APARTMENT 3.

if you have any questions at all, you can contact me at superher0@sbcglobal.net

see you there!

kia ora Evan,

am planning to join you Tuesday, in 'prayer', meditation, joining of heartminds -- in the infinite joy of harmonizing --

hearing the song of global humanity -- the Blue Star -- and HER Mother, beloved planet Earth.

for all our relations,

Millennium Twain

was pleased by the first hour of the gathering of folks, sincere focus on the meaning of peace -- of the inner awakening of the divine self and our sacred relation with family and nature.

would suggest, Evan, that gatherings of this type, say in public in the park, a circle sitting as a group in respect -- to discuss the meaning of peace -- there
could be no more awakening nor effective action than that ...

both for those participating, and those witnessing this display of integrity, of ethical intention ...

Millennium

sincere thanks to Millennium and the 10 others who graced my home with their presence last evening. there is energy in this valley for peace, and i'm so grateful to be trusted with some of it!
i like the suggestion of a circle in the park. during the summer months when it's a bit warmer in the evenings that'll definitely be considered as an option.

the next meeting of the Ojai Peace Coalition will be wednesday May 03 from 7:00 to 8:30pm. snacks, drinks, and friends welcome!

anytime you're ready, Evan, to schedule a circle in the park, early summer evening sounds good, perhaps Saturday 13 May, 6pm or 7pm, before the 8:30 Full Moon bicycle ride?

anytime, let me know, and I will co-promote it with you ... maybe encourage people to spend the day in fasting, or other light activities, to get themselves in their most quiet, spirit-full, selves -- the best able to listen and speak of their love and respect for themselves and their families and our Mother Earth ...

wonder if there has ever been a public gathering in Ojai, for folks able to and motivated to express their true humility -- there true love for life and the sacred -- in contrast to another gathering for ego-stretching, consumer gratification, social obligation, or more partying?

for all our sacred relations,

Millennium Twain
